A North Carolina institution, The Mast Farm Inn is an award-
winning historic country inn in the Valle Crucis historic district,
which has been welcoming guests since the 1800s. Given their
amazing location in the Mountains of the Western North Carolina
High Country, it doesn’t come as a surprise that they specialize in
weddings, elopements, anniversary and birthday celebrations,
vacation travel packages and special getaways.

The Mast Farm Inn is in a serene rural valley, in a mountain village
with a population under 800. Surrounded by mountains, rivers and
streams, the Inn is minutes from Blowing Rock, Banner Elk,
Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Linville, Boone, Grandfather
Mountain, and The Blue Ridge Parkway.

The farm and family prospered through the 19th Century, and
Finley and Josephine Mast built the first part of the farmhouse in
the 1880s. Around the turn of the century, the Masts began offering
meals and rooms to tourists, enlarging the house to
accommodate the growing number of guests. By 1915, the inn
had 13 bedrooms and one bath. While staying at the Inn, you’ll feel
as though you’re staying with family. There are no plastic key
cards, televisions, or phones.  The perfect getaway for the traveler
in need of celebrating some of the simpler and perhaps more
meaningful things… like each other.

Inn guests, their guests, and diners not lodging at The Inn are
welcome at both of the Inn’s restaurants, Simplicity and Over

Among the expanding collection handcrafted and homemade
foods, snacks, goodies and treats available to Inn guests, you will
find Artisan Charcuterie and a Cheese & Fruit Platter featuring
local artisan cheeses.
