In the farming community of Cedar Grove, North of Hillsborough,
you'll find Boxcarr Farms. They are a first generation farming
family--Austin Genke, his wife Dani, and his sister Samantha.

Boxcarr Farms' thirty acres of vegetables, pigs, chickens and
goats were the basis for starting a food truck and catering
company using their own produce and meat. Soon they realized
their ultimate goal: making and selling handcrafted artisan cheese.

In April 2014 they broke ground on a cheesemaking facility, and
started making cheese in early 2015.  The cow's milk and goat's
milk for their cheese is sourced from nearby farms.

Cheese Varieties
The small country farmsteads of Italy are the inspiration for
Boxcarr cheeses. They use cow's milk, goat's milk, or a
combination of both in their cheeses.

Boxcarr cheese is served at local restaurants and available for
purchase at retail stores across the state. For a current list of
where the cheese is available for purchase visit their website.
