Black Rock Vineyard is a small vinifera vineyard in Carthage that
was established in 2006 on a farm in the former Black Rock
community. As the area's first vinifera vineyard, they are growing
nine red and five white varieties to find the varieties that are best
suited for their growing conditions in the upper part of Moore
The vineyard is currently not open to the public. Join the Williams'
in their tasting room located on 15-501 between Carthage and
Pinehurst to taste a selection of dry or sweet wines. You may
enjoy your glass or bottle of wine while lounging inside the tasting
room or while enjoying their outdoor area complete with a covered
patio and outdoor area with waterfall as well as an area located
next to a waterfall that is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine on a
They invite you to go and sample their young vineyard wines and
age with them as the vineyard grows.
Guests are also invited to sample local cheese while visiting the
tasting room. Local cheese is also available for sale in the retail
portion of their winery.
In addition to the variety of Black Rock Vineyards wines and local
cheeses available in their winery, the Williams' support other local
farmers by selling their items as well.
